Money Vrs Swag

So on @twitter one of my followers said Swag is more important than MONEY; he goes on further to explain that 'swag opens more doors than money'. My reaction was this 'Hell to the the flipping NO!".

I believe money is not everything and there are alot of things in our world that is more important than money, but when you start comparing money and swag, then you are missing the point of what money can do.

Swag is defined as - appearance ,style ,or the way he or she presents them selves according to www.UrbanDictionary.com.

Money is also defined as - A medium that can be exchanged for goods and services and is used as a measure of their values on the market according to www.theFreeDictionary.com

From the two definations above it clearly shows me the deference. One is the means of measurement while the other is just the appearance aspect. Attention needs to be drawn to the fact that money would be needed to enhance your swag *if there is the need* since swag is more of appearance and how one carries themselves. The nicer one appears the more confindent the individual is.

Appearance is one element that goes hand in hand with money! It would be very wrong to discuss appearance, confidence and ignore the money factor.

An individual who isn't properly dressed is even confident if he/she know he has got money in the pocket; and confidence is Swag. From this scenario you clearly see that this SWAGing effect has come about from the confidence of HAVING MONEY in the pocket

I still hold on to my idea and thought that money comes first before SWAG everyday / everytime.

My Dad always says "always have money in your pocket in case you are involved in a car accident, involving the car and a PLANTAIN TREE, you wouldn't die". with anyone who knows a plantain tree can testify that it has no strength but the fact that you have got money on you, your spirit is confident and would be by you r side. (not letting you die)

I will end by saying, there is an old African saying, that is literally translated as "beauty is sold in the shops" and in this case i will say SWAG is sold in the shops, but remember items for sale are NOT FREE.

EVERYTHING I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIFE

So i was on facebook.com getting ready to sleep and going through my friends 'notes' particularly Naf Fy when i came across this very inspirational note that was written in June 2007. This note was so touching that I decided to share it through my blog. There is no better way than referencing my source Naf fy.

It is short but very touching and leaves a lot for the mind to work on / think / digest. It is basically 11 points that are she has learned from the Noah's ark. I will leave you in capable hands of Naf Fy;

I LEARNED FROM NOAH'S ARK

1.DONT MISS THE BOAT

2.REMEMBER THAT WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT

3.PLAN AHEAD,IT WASNT RAINING WHN NOAH BUILT THE ARK

4.STAY FIT,WHEN U ARE 600 YEARS OLD, SOMEONE MAY ASK YOU TO DO SOMETHING REALLY BIG

5.DONT LISTEN TO CRITICS, JUST GET ON WITH THE JOB THT NEEDS TO BE DONE

6.BUILD YOUR FUTURE ON HIGH GROUND

7.FOR SAFETY'S SAKE,TRAVEL IN PAIRS

8.SPEED IS NOT ALWAYS AN ADVANTAGE,THE SNAILS WERE ON BOARD WITH THE CHEETAHS

9.WHEN YOU ARE STRESSED ,FLOAT A WHILE

10.REMEMBER,THE ARK WAS BUILT BY AMATEURS;THE TITANIC BY PROFESSIONALS

11.NO MATTER THE STORM,WHEN YOU ARE WITH GOD,THERE IS ALWAYS A RAINBOW WAITING......

I hope you have been touched as i was.... Thanks Naf Fy

Time to Wait!

Hello, this is one of the things i have always wanted to do; blogging... finally I have had the chance (courage) to do. The feeling is good since it has been within me for a while... i feel like a volcano that has kept its cool for a long time and now is the time for me to erupt!!!

Well, a little but about myself... as you may have guessed! My name is Joey!  love been on the computer browsing and 'facebooking' as well as most of the social websites! I love all types of music!

This first blog is to calm my nerves after a number of bad incidents, call it drama, I call it challenges! whatever the name is, it is a situation! (but no situation is permanent) that is why this is the calm after the storm. (now singing the storm is over.. by R.Kelly).

I guess (am not guessing)  this is going to be a fallow period for me regenerate and revitalize myself for the new me! Not much is gonna change same bubbly and care-free me but am gonna cut off those who don't deserve to be friends! I have come across a lot of snitches recently! Its about time you know who your real friends are!

I think i am using too much exclamation marks now so i will pause here and unleash my thought later...
